Undertaker’s Opponent
Recently I have been hearing a lot of rumours that The Undertaker will be facing Strowman at WrestleMania. Unclear on what the thinking behind this as I don’t think anyone really wants to see this match – it has snooze fest written all over it. The seniors in WWE (mainly Vince) seems very big on Strowman even though he had very little singles action, so won’t be able to carry this match as the monster heel.
Also hearing Taker might team up with the Big Show and take on some Wyatt Family members – again a snooze fest as I do not see the appeal of Strowman effectively being a main event at Mania. The original plans I hear was for Tsker to take on Cena so are we really saying Strowman is number 2 to John Cena? Let’s hope this changes as I would much rather see Taker face Kevin Owens or Finn Balor.
Main Event
The main event at Fast Lane easily sets up Triple H vs Roman Reigns which I am not totally against. Triple H can play a great heel and thus get the fans booing him and hence cheering Reigns. I did hear a brief rumour that Brock Lesnar might be involved somehow to make it a triple threat in which case Lesnar had to win the title.
Andre The Giant Battle Royal
Assuming this is going to be another match again at Mania this year which could be great depending on which talents are used. For this match to become meaningful however, the winner has to get more than just a trophy that he can’t even carry.
Maybe the winner gets a title shot? Or even gets entered into the Money In The Bank match? Ultimately it has to lead somewhere which in the past few years, it has not.
