As most of you know, last Wednesday at a house show in Dublin, Seth Rollins botched a Sunset Flip Power Bomb onto Kane, and Seth landed awkwardly on his right knee, for the next 20 hours I was seeing if there was any news. On Thursday evening the news broke that we all feared, Seth had torn his ACL and MCL, in his right knee and he was forced to relinquish his WWE World Heavyweight Title and a tournament will be held at Survivor Series crowning the new champion. So ladies and gentlemen, Seth Rollins will be out for 6-9 months, thus meaning he will very likely miss Wrestlemania 32. First thank you Seth for an exceptional couple of years whether it was with The Shield or without The Shield, you will be truly missed for the next 6-9 months, but I know you’re return will be huge.
How and when should Seth “Freaking” Rollins return, today I’ll try and give my opinions on this issue.
Feuding with The Authority
This all depends how Triple H and Stephanie McMahon react to Seth’s injury on Raw, they could easily turn on Seth and say that he was never the man, and he was too weak and injury prone and he always was a B + player, or they could just easily support Seth through his recovery process. But for the sake of a great storyline how about Triple H not every week but most weeks berates Seth Rollins bullies him, saying he isn’t the future. Then we get to about 9 months time, during a Triple H in ring promo again, you see Seth Rollins on the screen holding a video recorder, he could say that he has been waiting 9 months to return to the ring and now he’s ready, he drops the recorder and his crutches and runs down to the ring and attacks Triple H. This sets up a match between Triple H and Seth at Summerslam 2016 which is in 9 months time, it’s a no holds barred match and Triple H targets Seth’s right knee with several steel chair shots and sledgehammer strikes, however Seth overcomes adversity and beats Triple H with a final pedigree onto the game.
Mr Money In The Bank
Where his singles push started just under 17 months ago, it would mean a 7 month recovery time for The Architect. Should Seth Rollins return as the surprise entrant at next year’s Money In The Bank, imagine the pop he’d get when his music hits and likely and rightfully Seth would grab the briefcase and the crowd would go wild, and how about this he cashes in on a heel Roman Reigns, later on in the evening as Roman Reigns has held the title since Survivor Series.
As everyone here knows on SLTDWrestling.com I was very upset and frustrated that putting on my Booker T voice “My boy” Seth Rollins is injured and I think it caps of a very sour year for WWE. With a few sweet moments in between whether it’s the drop in ratings, untimely deaths of legends or your favorite wrestlers getting injure, 2015 is a year that a lot of WWE fans would like to forget and get over with.
For now that’s all from me this week, hope everyone enjoys Raw tonight from Manchester, I’ll try and stay offline from about 7pm or 8pm whenever the show starts so I don’t read the spoilers before I watch it.
Just a fact for everyone this will be the first Raw Seth Rollins has missed since 2012. #ThankYouSeth.
