Every so often a wrestling company can promote a match as their “Biggest Match Ever” and in the case of Welsh Wrestling this is due to go down Friday 3rd June 2016 during their visit to the Memorial Centre in Barry.
The main event of the evening will see three men, with 9 Welsh Heavyweight Championships between them as the current champion John “The Machine” Titan who’s currently in his second reign as champion collides with three time champion Stevie Starr (Who had a spell with the WWE), and four time champion Kade Callous in a Triple Threat Match.
I was fortunate enough to get permission from “The Machine” to ask him a couple of quick questions about the upcoming event and here is what he had to say. When asked about being part of what is being billed as the biggest match in Welsh Wrestling history, the champ responded with “The fact that it is the biggest Welsh Wrestling match in history will only push me to train harder & focus on that task at hand.”
Having followed “The Machine” for a while now, I know how serious he takes his training, and this extra focus will only lead to the fans seeing a better than ever Machine.
I then asked “The Machine” if coming out on top in this match would mean more to him than winning his first Welsh Heavyweight Championship, to which he responded with “Nothing beats winning the Welsh Heavyweight Championship for the first time but this is my toughest challenge to date”
Knowing The Machine is well loved by his fans, both young and old, I asked The Machine to give a quick message to his fans so I could leave him in peace to prepare for this massive match.
“I’d like to thank all my Welsh Wrestling fans they are what fuel The Machine! Barry Memo(Where the event is taking place) The Machine Titan is ready!”
I’d personally like to thank John “The Machine” Titan for taking a few minutes out of his busy schedule to answer my questions. You can keep up with The Machines preparation on Twitter and you can get all the build up and results from Welsh Wrestling. As per my previous article on “Remembering Your Local” I would encourage all our readers in the local area to attend what will be a historical evening for the company.
