Cenanuff? Tough!

Hey there guys and gals of the internet world! This is my first post of many for the ravishing SLTD! Last night we got to witness quite the lovely little pay per view that was Night of Champions, which from start to finish was a pretty solid PPV. Tonight I’m going to write about someone I know gets a lot of stick from the old internet fans and that man is John Cena.

Now last night John Cena yet again had a fantastic match against CM Punk. I know it is quite common for people to have fantastic matches with CM Punk, but it definitely takes two to have a great match. Last night’s match had a great pace to it and at the end I had no idea who was going to win, which ended up being neither of them, or both whichever way you look at it. When John Cena is given an opponent who isn’t terrible, he usually does deliver the goods and I think he gets a lot of unnecessary stick.

With that being said I am not a Cena fan as such, I’m not big on the whole superman thing that they do with him as I feel myself it is a bit dated. However, I use my six year old nephew as the prime example and he loves Cena. Cena defines everything a child wants to see, he is a larger than life superstar who tries to overcome the bad guys and help the good guys. What older wrestling fans need to realise is that in every fairytale the hero always wins in the end and WWE is pretty much just a giant fairytale. There is always going to be a good guy in wrestling and Cena is easily the most marketable, now people may argue that CM Punk and Daniel Bryan could do a better job, but they don’t have that same kind of larger than life image that Cena does have.

The other thing that Cena has over any other WWE Superstar is all the work that he does with Make A Wish and this breast cancer thing at the moment, John Cena is this generations Hulk Hogan. I was a kid back in the Hogan days and I am sure that there were quite a lot of older folk that had no interest in Hogan and probably hated him. The only difference is that nobody had the internet to sit and complain about Cena all the time! So for everyone that does complain about Cena, you would probably better just trying to sit back and enjoy the ride and having a laugh when he does get beat because we all know Cena is going to be the poster boy for the foreseeable future!

Shall be back with something a bit longer soon, in the mean time, add me on Twitter: @DaveFCIC

Cheers!
