#DigitalCorner This Week on the Internet February 12th (@stoughe)

As the wrestling world turns, so does the internet version of it. Let’s see what has been buzzing around the digital world this past week.

Chikara pro has feverishly been putting out content on both their facebook account and Youtube. On facebook, it has mostly been of training sessions, but on Youtube, while waiting for the premiere of season 19, they have released a trailer and a match from last season.

This week on Twitch we got to see Impact Wrestling’s first real event on that platform. A co-production with the East Coast promotion Wrestlepro the main event was Angelina Love vs Tenille Dashwood (fka Emma). Although that particular match was not aired there were some stellar bouts featured. Among them Johnny Impact vs Dan Maff. Every match pitted one Impact star against one Wrestlepro one. All before a sold-out crowd. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

This week saw the launch of a new wrestling podcast. The NWA Network is the yet another step in Corgan’s plan for a presence for the promotion. Two episodes have been released; A Nick Aldiss address to the world and Billy Corgan’s first interview on Busted Open after taking over the company. It is clear that Corgan knows how to use social media and that it will be the strength of the company.

Wrestling Inc, who has been running a review podcast for quite some time announced that they would include their various interviews in their Wednesday podcast, usually reserved for Smackdown Live run downs. The first episode saw an interview with legendary Eric Bischoff.

On the Fite.tv app, available on various platforms, World Association Wrestling show Wrestling Weekender premiered. The UK company founded by Ricky Knight and Sweet Saraya ran a nice show with stars like James Storm, Robbie E, Bram and Doug Williams.
