Hello, everyone, and welcome to another edition of ‘Fantasy Fight Friday’, SLTD Wrestling’s one stop shop for professional wrestling’s most intriguing dream matches. This week we are looking at two of the most powerful wrestlers in WWE. Both have shown their wild sides in the ring and have captivated audiences with their ability to be both strong and fast and have both been known as warriors in the ring. Today we at SLTD Wrestling put these two larger than life wrestlers against one another as we see Ultimate Warrior and Sheamus go head to head in a unmissable dream match.
In one corner we have the Ultimate Warrior, Warrior started his career in WWE in 1987. It wasn’t long before the over the top entrance and ring attire made Warrior a huge attraction and a fan favourite in the WWE. While in the WWE Warrior won both the Intercontinental Championship and the The WWE Championship. Warrior also became the first wrestler to hold the Intercontinental and WWE Championships at the same time, after pinning Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania XI. After being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014, he unfortunately died.
In the other corner we have ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus, who joined WWE in 2009, first starting in the ECW brand. It wasn’t long before Sheamus was on the main roster and in the main event. Since debuting, Sheamus has been a 3 time Heavyweight Champion, and 2 time United States Champion. Sheamus is also the second wrestler in WWE history to be crowned The King of the Ring (2010), Royal Rumble winner (2012) and Mr Money in the Bank (2015).
It goes without saying that these two warriors would surely pull out all the stops to be named the winner of this match, but who would come out victorious?
SLTD Wrestling’s Adam O’Brien, author of ‘Under the Spotlight’ gives his thoughts.
“This wouldn’t be a technical masterpiece, but it’s for damn sure that Sheamus and Ultimate Warrior would tear each other apart. The two men are both hard-hitting, powerful wrestlers that use their size to their advantage. They aren’t the biggest guys to grace the industry, but they know how to use their strengths and power to make it seem like they are.
As for a winner, it’s a tough one to call. Somehow I can imagine Sheamus setting up a huge Brogue Kick, connecting with Warrior’s skull with a huge grin across is face, only for it to disappear immediately when Warrior stood up immediately, brushing off Sheamus’ finisher as if it was nothing. The Celtic Warrior would put up a valiant effort, and the match would be an instant classic, but Ultimate Warrior would walk away victorious.”
