On this weeks edition of AEW, Kip Sabian revealed that his “best man” for the upcoming “Wedding” for he and Penelope Ford is none other than “The Best Man”, Miro.
Miro (formerly Rusev) has not been in a wrestling ring for a long time. He has been doing Twitch streams and doing TikTok’s with Lana, his wife. To see him back in a wrestling ring really is a breath of fresh air. Even his old tag team partner Aiden English put on twitter ‘I’m proud and happy for my friend – go kill it, buddy”.
As usual, Miro couldn’t wait to take a pot shot at WWE. Stating he’d spent enough time grabbing for the brass ring, and they could shove that brass ring up their asses. So what does the future hold for Miro?
It is hard to picture what feuds that Miro can get involved in. To be honest it is hard to see him wrestling at all at the moment. Whether this is purely down to the fact he hasn’t been in a ring for so long, or that his TikTok personality has made me look at him differently, I’m not sure. One thing that is clear, AEW has talent on their hands.
Miro Day is in full swing and we don’t know who he is coming for. The concern I have is that the roster is starting to get full of ex WWE talent. The whole point of AEW was to give those independent talents a shot at the big time. With talents like Orange Cassidy, Jurassic Express and more, I keep thinking these signings are just shots at WWE.
Part of me thinks that Miro is only in this for a short time. His Twitch and social media platforms are actually doing really well. Can we see Miro in the main event picture, of course, we can. Will it happen though is another thing to be seen. Miro has all the talent in the world and it was fantastic to see him in AEW, but I’m still not sure he fits, but that just might be me.
Let me know what feuds you’d like to see Miro be involved in going forward. Are you happy to see him back or would you rather he stay on social media?
