Welcome back to another editorial of The Fox Files. Today, we’re going to go into detail about 5 potential superstars who could get called up from NXT to join the main roster, 5 superstars who could switch from RAW to Smackdown LIVE, and 5 superstars who could switch from Smackdown LIVE to RAW once the draft comes around.
Let’s begin with the NXT side of things. And who could get called up:
1. Shinsuke Nakamura- this is almost a must. He has been in NXT for less than one year, and he’s held the NXT Championship on multiple occasions. He is one of the most well-known wrestlers in the world, and calling him up to the main roster would be the perfect way to begin a NXT Call up. Just one thing, Vince McMahon, DON’T FUCK IT UP! Let Nakamura do all the moves he usually does and let him be himself, Triple H in NXT has allowed that and look how good that has turned out to be for both NXT and Nakamura. I would say Shinsuke Nakamura heads to Smackdown LIVE.
2. Bobby Roode- Yes, he is the current NXT Champion, and probably will be once the draft comes around in the middle of the year, but if Kevin Owens can be called up to challenge the one and only John Cena while holding the NXT Championship at the same time, then why can’t Bobby Roode be called up? Again, he is a very well-known wrestler and would be a fantastic edition to the main roster. I think Bobby Roode would be put on the RAW roster.
3. Liv Morgan- now Liv Morgan reminds me a little bit of Carmella, with the hat and the way she acts inside the ring. Carmella on the main roster has worked out very well so far, so Liv Morgan could too. I also think she’s ready for the Callup, and it means there’s still women(that’s let admit, better then Liv Morgan) that’s still on the NXT Brand. So why not call her up? By the time June comes around, I can’t say that she’ll be in a big feud, so call her up! I think Liv Morgan would head to the Smackdown LIVE roster
4. Sanity- now I know this is more than 1 person, as the stable consists of Eric Young, Nikki Cross, Killain Dain, Alexander Wolfe and Sawyer Fulton, but imagine these guys on the main roster? If booked right, they could truly take the WWE by storm, and that’s how it should be booked! A little bit like The Shield were booked, just tear through the entire roster. Now that would be awesome to see. The question is, which show? I’d have to go for RAW, Now that’s a risk I know especially after the booking I’ve just said, but I think if they did that sort of booking, it would work much better on the RAW brand rather than the Smackdown LIVE brand.
5. The last person I’d say that gets called up once the draft comes around would have to be The Revival. Now where does this leave the Tag division in NXT? Honestly, I don’t know, but out of all the superstars or tag teams mentioned in this article so far, I’d say The Revival deserve to get called up the most. Just look at their accolades in NXT, and they would seriously suite the main roster. I’d say put the Revival on Smackdown LIVE.
Now let’s turn our attention onto people that are on the main roster already, and see who could potentially be drafted from RAW to Smackdown LIVE:
1. Samoa Joe- now I know he has legitimately just been called up to the roster over the past few weeks, going as “the destroyer” for Triple H, but I think he will move over to the Smackdown brand when the draft comes around and here’s why; he should on RAW be undefeated and tear through absolutely everyone, he’s beat up the likes of Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns already, and they need to keep that up. He wins the Universal Championship and then he says that there’s no competition left and nothing left for him to do on RAW, so he moves to Smackdown LIVE. Plus then we’d get to see the likes of Samoa Joe vs John Cena, and Samoa Joe vs Shinsuke Nakamura if he got called up. Now who doesn’t wanna see that?
2. Roman Reigns- now I know he devalues RAW, and I seriously don’t want him to devalue SmackDown, but I think he will be drafted. Although, at least Shane McMahon and the creative team know how to book correctly! I would book Reigns in the upper-midcard instead of been the main event player constantly, either that or do what Cena is doing(and I have huge respect for Cena doing this) and that’s putting younger talent over. But however he’s booked, I’m almost certain this move will happen.
3. Finn Balor- this is purely what I want to see, whether it will happen or not is a different matter. But if he does move over to Smackdown, not only should the demon paint change to black and BLUE, but also imagine the possibilities of the matches, say if Joe moved over, we could have Balor vs Joe(in a WWE Main roster ring) or even the likes of AJ Styles vs Finn Balor in WWE, that’s something I’d never thought I’d say!
4. Sasha Banks- woah, hold up here! Sasha on SmackDown? I can really see this happening. 2 of the Horsewomen on SmackDown as Becky Lynch is already over there, and Charlotte & Bayley on RAW. This would be amazing plus we’d see some amazing women’s matches with Sasha on SmackDown, Sasha vs Alexa been one of them!
5. The last person from RAW to be drafted over to Smackdown LIVE… Braun Strowman. The booking of Braun Strowman on RAW has been fantastic, tearing through the roster. (It’s one of the only good things RAW have done) and Shane McMahon and the creative team should get Braun over to Smackdown, to do the exact same thing!
Now lastly, let’s see the potential superstars RAW could pick up from Smackdown LIVE:
1. Dean Ambrose- I can really see this happening, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion would suit fit on RAW, as he’s more of a entertainer. Now personally I’m not a huge fan of Ambrose, but I can really see him fitting in better on RAW.
2. Baron Corbin- now this would be a risky move, as I wouldn’t be too sure whether Stephanie McMahon and the RAW creative team would be willing to put him in the main event scene, but even as Mid-Card champion on RAW I’d be pretty happy with. His booking on SmackDown LIVE has been absolutely fantastic, but I can see this move really happening.
3. Randy Orton- we all know that unfortunately, The Apex Predator is starting to feel the effects and may even hang up his boots soon, but I would love to see him have one last run on RAW before he goes.
4. The Miz- this guy, has been personally the standout star of 2016 for me, and he continues doing that into 2017, with the ride of momentum he’s on, he may be drafted to RAW. With some of the main guys that I’ve picked also moving over to Smackdown LIVE, then this would boost up the roster of RAW.
5. The last people I pick is actually a tag team under the name American Alpha. They have tore through the Smackdown roster when it comes to Tag Teams, but when The Revival get called up, they could beat American Alpha, and that’s when American Alpha move over to RAW.
