Hello ladies and gentleman, and welcome to the first ever edition of Gaming Nation. Just to give a quick rundown, what we will be doing is covering WWE 2K19 & other wrestling games news and rumours, while also talking about previous WWE Games and more. WWE 2K19: Ronda Rousey announced as the 2nd pre-order bonus!

Now the biggest news coming out of 2K’s camp for WWE 2K19 this week has to be the announcement of Ronda Rousey. As her playable character, it has been confirmed that she will be wearing her WrestleMania 34 attire. Officially confirmed by 2K so far is the cover star AJ Styles, the 1st pre-order superstar Rey Mysterio, and the recent addition of Ronda Rousey. For those wanting more names, anything official will be in August, where it is also likely we’ll see our first gameplay. The video above discusses Ronda Rousey as the preorder bonus, what she means to the WWE and how 2K could easily market it. I’d advise you to check it out.
THROWBACK: Smackdown vs RAW 2006:
Still to this day, one of the most beloved WWE Games of all time. This PlayStation 2 classic was a WWE Fans’s gaming dream. Why? Well first off, the season mode within the game had over 200 storylines alone, with you having the ability as any superstar from the game, to take them through a journey, and you make the decisions with each superstar which way to take the story. This made for so much replayability as there were MANY different ways to take your superstar’s journey so differently. I wish 2K would do this in WWE 2K19 for MyCareer, as it would help out the mode so much.
Also, the fan-favourite GM Mode was born. You were the General Manager of either RAW, or Smackdown, and you took control of EVERYTHING. Unlike in Universe Mode where it just matches you decide, you could propose trade superstars, have storylines BOUGHT from WWE Creative, take control of contractual negotiations, and so much more. I can’t, unfortunately, see the mode ever returning with 2K at the helm, but what I can see is GM Mode features making their way into Universe Mode, and that needs to happen sooner or later.
Quick Mention: Fire Pro Wrestling World
Our last topic this week will be about Fire Pro Wrestling World. Already released on PC and coming to PlayStation 4 next month, this looks like one of the best games that you will see all year. The arcadic style brings a new lease of life into a wrestling game, and with the NJPW partnership, it’s going to be incredible. We will delve into detail nearer the release date next month, and let you know about everything.
