It’s your boy Monster Match Sully, AKA Vince Russo 2.0 and I’m back to book you all a HELL of a retirement.
I’ll be breaking down three scenarios which I see to be both fitting and realistic for the Big Red Machine’s final run in the WWE. A brief disclaimer, in this article I will be assuming this is Kane’s final stint in the WWE. That is as not only is Glen Jacobs 50 years old, but he is running (and most likely will succeed) for Mayor of Knox County Tenessee.
The Big Red Machine bows to the Big Dog
In my opinion, this is the most likely scenario. If WWE creative had a lick of sense, this programme should write itself. The Devil’s Favourite Demon is brothers (kayfabe) with the Demon of Death Valley (boy WWE like hiring demons). Despite the battles the battles these two brothers have fought, we last saw that they were on good terms. Therefore having Clifford the Big Red Dog (Reigns) parade that he ‘retired The Undertaker’ is a slap in the face for Kane.
Due to this, Kane decides to come to RAW (probably negotiating a transfer from SmackDown as Corporate Kane) to destroy the man who put down his brother. Therefore it’s revealed he approached The Miz in getting himself inserted into the destructive TLC match. This will give Kane the opportunity to inflict some serious harm to Roman.
So why is this story the most likely? Well not only because it writes itself, but also as it works into Vince’s long-term plan. We all know Vince wants Reigns to go over Brock at Mania as a massive babyface. Therefore they two should not collide before Spring of next year.
Kane can easily work as a feud to fill a month or two for Roman. Furthermore, having Kane ‘endorse’ Roman will only add to the long list of legends who have already.
Monster’s Collide
BRAUN! Is arguably the greatest Big Man of this generation. Possibly even ever if he carries on, on this trajectory. Kane was arguably the greatest Big Man of his generation. Possibly even ever, a sure-fire Hall Of Famer. Henceforth much like Show v. Braun, who wouldn’t want to see Braun v. Kane?
Much like Show v. Braun, there’s no real heel in this situation. Braun will be booked as one, but the crowd will cheer Brauna and Kane will get the legacy pop. WWE’s best bet would be to let these goliaths go at it and I mean seriously go at it. They should try to one-up the matches Braun and Show had, it’ll be a TALL task, but I have faith.
A killer set of matches, that 100% can main-event RAW, and some stellar PPV matches, are the least Kane deserves. Not only that but Braun will get a massive rub from Kane, and learn so much from working with the veteran.
Demon v. Demon
Personally I’ve wanted this feud since Balor came up to the main roster, but finally, I may get my wish. Nowadays when one says The Demon in WWE, you usually assume Finn Balor, however, this wasn’t the case a decade ago. Up until late, Kane held that position, and now that he’s returned, he want’s it back.
The lead up is simple, Balor dismisses of Sister Abigail and is happy go lucky about his Demon power when suddenly pyro hits! (I know WWE have stopped pyro, but really for Kane, an exception should be made.) The Big Red Monster comes out and issues a challenge to Finn, and threatens to show him what a real demon looks like.
The feud slowly builds, perhaps both fighting as regular men, then escalating to Demon v. Demon. If booked correctly this is the perfect swan song for Kane, and could even be a WrestleMania worthy match. I know Kane isn’t in great nick, but he’s still got some skill, and Balor is gifted enough to carry the veteran.
Furthermore if Finn feuds with Kane, it mean’s he doesn’t get fed to Lesnar. Just saying.

To conclude, Kane deserves to go out at WrestleMania, however, it does depend on his schedule and what his body can take. Ideally, his final match is at WrestleMania, his opponent leaves the ring after thanking him. Kane is stood alone. The lights turn red, and for one last time, he sets the corners on fire.
He then walks out to join his brother and the Devil for some cocktails in Hell.
