Hello, it’s The Wrestling Brain, doing an NXT Takeover Brooklyn predictions post. This is a special preview article, anyway let’s crack on with it.
Apollo Crews vs Tye Dillinger: This will be Apollo Crews/Uhaa Nation’s first match as an NXT superstar apart from house shows. It will be interesting to see what he has to offer the NXT fans. I myself don’t know a great deal about him, but I expect him to win, as it would be smart booking, expect a Kevin Owens vs CJ Parker-like match,with Crews controlling the majority of the match and Dillinger getting little offense in.
Winner: Apollo Crews
Samoa Joe vs Baron Corbin: This is a huge match for Baron Corbin, if he wins his monster heel run continues,if he loses his monster heel run will be halted, at the hands of Samoa Joe. If Corbin wins could he feud with Finn Bálor if Bálor retains the title? Samoa Joe hasn’t fully set the world alight since his debut at the last Takeover special, this to me is the most difficult match to predict both men need the win so much but for sake of his heel run continuing I’m going with Baron Corbin to win with an End of Days
Winner: Baron Corbin
Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs Tyler Breeze: It seems as though it’s a one match deal, that Jushin “Thunder” Liger has signed with WWE, so again I don’t know who to predict,but Tyler Breeze needs to win and here’s why. A big win for Breeze could signal a big push for him as he could challenge for the NXT title and a win against a big global wrestling name would help massively and it makes most sense as Jushin “Thunder” Liger doesn’t need to win as he doesn’t have any longevity with the WWE at the moment.
Winner: Tyler Breeze
Bayley vs Sasha Banks (NXT Women’s Title): So in the last 4 weeks Bayley has beaten Emma, Charlotte and Becky Lynch, expect to add another name to that list in Sasha Banks. Sasha Banks has now made her move to the main roster, so it makes a lot of sense for her to drop her title, Sasha can move on to focusing on the main roster and the Divas title, whilst Bayley can defend her new title against the likes of Dana Brooke.
Winner: Bayley (New Champion)
Blake and Murphy with Alexa Bliss vs The Vaudevillians (NXT Tag Team Championship): I think it’s time for Blake and Murphy to drop their Tag titles, but it’s to the wrong team. The home crowd favourites Big Cass and Enzo Amore aren’t even on the card. However the ever-improving Vaudevillians are also in need for the NXT Tag titles. Again it’s a difficult choice to make, but Blake and Murphy have Alexa Bliss in their corner to cause trouble, but I reckon The Vaudevillians will have some form of back up.

Kevin Owens vs Finn Bálor (NXT Championship) Ladder match: The Demon Finn Bálor defends his title in the second ever ladder match in NXT history against the former champion Kevin Owens in the widely anticipated main event of NXT Takeover. From the recent NXT tapings a major spoiler was revealed as Kevin Owens walked out with the NXT title, could this be a major spoiler, hopefully not and here’s why.
As I wrote in one of my previous articles on Finn Bálor needs to beat Kevin Owens tonight and have a long title reign. Plus Kevin Owens can fully focus on the main roster, however expect many big spots especially a Coup de Grace from Bálor of the top off the ladder or maybe a power-bomb from Owens off the top of the Ladder, but still expect Bálor to retain, but Owens to attack Bálor post-match and leave with the title,which would explain the spoilers.
Winner and still NXT Champion: Finn Bálor
