Hello everybody and wrestling fans alike. This is a early preview and run-down of what to expect on June 8th 2016. June 8th is the well-hyped and exciting WWE Network extravaganza known as NXT Takeover: “The End”.
Rumors are abundant that “the end” simply means the culimination of the Samoa Joe and Finn Balor feud, which if true- is fitting and appropriate. The worst scuttlebutt is meaning a end, or consolidation of NXT, especially with a WWE Draft looming ahead. Truthfully, a consolidation means talent gets lost in the shuffle while trying to boost primetime TV airings. A end of NXT means it would ruin the in-ring style, brand that makes NXT so different and exciting- although it is owned and run under the WWE banner. Hopefully end, is the latter and only to the feud and not the show or concept of NXT.
NXT Takeover on June 8th will be held at Full Sail, in Florida; NXT’s home in Winter Park Florida. This evening on June 8th, you will see the following:
Samoa Joe defending the NXT title since winning it in Lowell Massachusetts, versus former champion and current number one contender in Finn Balor. Balor held the title for 291 days until the “end” (pun intended) for his first reign. This match is a in a first time ever for NXT, a steel cage. Will Balor reveal his true inner demon and conquer the Samoan Monster? Or will the Samoan Submission Machine continue to conquer and dethrone all challengers?
American Alpha’s Chad Gable and Jason Jordan won the tag titles at NXT Dallas. However, they are facing former champions in their rematch. The Revival of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson look to reclaim their titles. Can they? Will it be no flips and just fists for the three count, or the amateur acumen to prevail?
The debut of Andrade Cien Almas will be facing Tye Dillenger, the “Perfect 10” in singles competition. Another bout made and looking forward to, is the one made by William Regal. Shinsuke Nakamura, the King of Strong Style will go against the “Greatest man who ever lived” in A-Double, Austin Aries. The Aires-Nakamura match winner will determine a new number one contender for the NXT title.
And the women’s division and NXT women’s title will be up for grabs. Bayley who is not cleared to compete, will not have her rematch yet, since losing the title in Dallas to the current champion. Instead, it is Asuka defending her title versus Nia Jax.
In closing, here is the lineup and predictions for June 8th 2016:
Balor vs. Samoa Joe- Samoa Joe retains the title
Austin Aries vs. Nakamura- Aires wins due to Bobby Roode interference and help to win it.
American Alpha retains versus The Revival.
Nia Jax wins versus Asuka- due to interference by a “emotionally broken” Bayley.
Andrade Cien Almas wins his debut versus Tye Dillenger.
