Hello The Wrestling Brain here, I hope everyone’s had a good weekend and are looking forward to Raw from Dallas, Texas tonight. Before I started here on SLTD Wrestling, I didn’t communicate a great deal with fellow wrestling fans apart from a wrestling talk site or with a friend in school (shout out to Jonah Newell) however I mainly liked to do some fantasy booking, so for the first time on SLTD Wrestling I’m going to try and predicated all 12 WWE PPV’s in 2016.
Royal Rumble
Of course the Royal Rumble match will be the main match of the evening and presumably the main event, however I’d hope WWE will build up the PPV with two main events, the Royal Rumble match and this one ;
WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Seth Rollins (C) vs Brock Lesnar
Brock will defeat The Undertaker at Hell In A Cell and take two months off and then return to face Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble, in a highly anticipated rematch from Battleground. Once again it looks like Brock is going win, until Sheamus runs down to cash in his Money In The Bank, Sheamus fails his cash in as Brock F5’s him but Rollins sneaks the pin on Sheamus for the win. During the Royal Rumble match Brock run ins and eliminates Sheamus, which sets a match between Brock and Sheamus at Wrestlemania.
FastLane
In its second installment Fast Lane will see another match which decides the number one contender for Seth Rollins championship. This time the match will be between former Shield partners Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, as at Royal Rumble both men will go over the ropes at the same time, thus leading to a usual Royal Rumble controversy. The Authority will announce for the first time ever Dean Ambrose will face Roman Reigns in a singles match, Seth Rollins will try and cause dissension between the two friends, but he can’t break the friendship. Although at Fast Lane, Seth Rollins will cause a disqualification, so he claims that no-one is the number one contender. However The Authority make it a triple threat match at Wrestlemania, between Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
Wrestlemania 32
One of the easier main events to predict in front of almost 100,000 wrestling fans packed out at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, the two biggest names in WWE history will go one-one for the first time in Wrestlemania history as The Rock faces Triple H.
Extreme Rules
Roman Reigns will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 32 and hopefully the fans will accept it, however Seth Rollins will invoke his rematch clause for the main event of Extreme Rules. Unfortunately for Seth, Roman defends his title successfully.
Payback
A shocking Roman Reigns heel turn will stun many fans as he aligns himself with Paul Heyman because he says that the fans never supported him and always booed him. Dean Ambrose steps up to the plate and challenges Roman Reigns at Payback, however once more Reigns retains his title against his former Shield brother.
Money In The Bank
Both Rollins and Ambrose want another shot at Reigns title, but only one man can face Reigns at Money In The Bank. Rollins wins in a good old fashioned contract on a pole match, but doesn’t beat Reigns at Money In The Bank, whereas in the Money In The Bank match Ambrose grabs the briefcase.
Battleground
At Battleground The Beast returns to try and topple Roman Reigns and because Heyman is the advocate to both men it adds more intrigue and to add even more suspense Heyman is the referee. In a shock twist Heyman turns on Brock and fully aligns himself with Reigns and screws Brock out of the title.
Summerslam
In a rematch from the end of Wrestlemania 31, Roman Reigns battles Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match, to everyone’s surprise Rollins brings back the Curb Stomp and connects it on Brock Lesnar. Reigns chucks Rollins over the ropes and gets a quick pin victory over Brock.
Night Of Champions
Once again Brock Lesnar is taking a break from WWE and Seth Rollins is involved in a feud with another Indy darling Kevin Owens. Reigns needs some new competition, enter John Cena. Cena still believes he is the true champion, however at Night Of Champions Reigns again retains his title in another impressive display.
Hell In A Cell
At Hell In A Cell Dean Ambrose announces he is going to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Roman Reigns inside Hell In A Cell. Ambrose believes he can go through more hell than Roman Reigns can, unfortunately in a very similar situation to Hell In A Cell 2012, the referee has been bribed by Paul Heyman and Reigns cheats his way to retaining the title.
Survivor Series
It will be built up as cousin vs cousin, a family collide inside the ring, as Roman Reigns will go face to face with The Rock at Survivor Series. Rocky can say that the historic Maivia/Anoai/Fatu family is being put to shame because of Roman, so he has come back to teach his cousin a well deserved lesson. However this could also be The Rock’s retirement match as it would be 20 years since he made his debut with the WWE, this will be a huge stepping stone for Reigns and his heel turn, as he defeats and retires The Rock in a great storytelling battle.
TLC
The final PPV of 2016 will also mark an end to Roman Reigns title reign, Reigns believes that he has beaten everyone, from Dean Ambrose to The Rock. However there is one man who believes he deserves a title shot and he truly is the unbeaten champ, as yes Daniel Bryan wants to face Roman Reigns. Bryan firmly believes he can beat Roman Reigns and he reinvigorate the YES! Movement in a classic TLC match, which he does as he grabs the title and promises to the WWE Universe that he’ll never let it go..
That’s all from me this week, I hope everyone enjoyed my fantasy booking of 2016, what would your main events of 2016 look like, should Reigns turn heel and should he ever get the title in 2016.
Remember to post your predictions on SLTD Wrestling sometime later this week for Hell In A Cell, I’ll be writing a predictions article sometime over the weekend but until then enjoy Raw and goodbye.
