Rasslin Roundup, here we come! Buckle your seatbelts wrestling fans into another RAW review and Roundup, with Shane McMahon at the helm.
Shane McMahon opened up the show with the first segment; and this show overall drummed up many of the feuds and groundwork laid for the next Network offering. The next PPV is WWE Payback with Roman defending his title against AJ Styles.
AJ Styles had the opening bout and defeated Sheamus in singles action. Meanwhile, Reigns defeated Sheamus’ stable mate in the League; in Alberto Del Rio.
Apollo Crews defeated Stardust in one on one competition, with the debut of the ex-Bullet Club tag team of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows defeating the Uso’s. Payback will also feature the tag team tournament finals in which the New Day will defend against the Vaudevillians. The Villains defeated the Enzo and Big Cass team from last week. We saw an in-ring promo segment to set the feud more for Payback, featuring Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose.
Sami Zayn and Rusev wrestled in which Sami won via a DQ; but was attacked after the bell. Zayn was jumped from behind from his Payback opponent and former best friend in Kevin Owens. Owens and Zayn have a huge history and also battled over in NXT and over that brands top title. Natalya remained strong in her victory over Emma, as she is primed to defeat Charlotte for the Women’s title at Payback.
Corbin was to wrestle Damien Sandow; but this time it was Baron who would receive a receipt for his attacks. Corbin and Ziggler have been engaged into brawls and tussles, as they will finish it at Payback. Ryback will also have another chance at the United States title at the PPV, to wrestle Kalisto. We were also treated to a segment featuring the Miz and Cesaro; and those men will wrestle at Payback for the IC title.
Wrestling fans, it seems like a stacked card for the pay per view of Payback. Tune in on the Network to see what happens; and the landscape of RAW moving forward.
