Here are the main talking points from this week’s Raw which saw a WWE legend fired from the Raw roster.
Rhyno fired from Raw
Continuing his abuse of power, Raw GM elect Baron Corbin made a match between tag team partners Heath Slater and Rhyno, adding the stipulation of that the loser will be fired from the Raw roster. Slater made short work of his best friend and within minutes, Rhyno was no longer part of Monday night Raw. To add insult to injury, Corbin congratulated Slater by demoting him to being a referee on the red brand. I don’t think this is the end to this story and I don’t think it’s the end of Rhyno’s WWE career, well at least I hope it’s not.
Bane Ambrose silences Rollins
The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose donned a unique attire on this week’s Raw, looking like Bane 2.0 with a Gas mask and a brown trench coat. Once again Ambrose was not happy with the stench of the crowd and also vowed to take Seth Rollins’ Intercontinental championship at TLC. Rollins tried to hit a sneak attack on Ambrose but the DC universe villain look-alike along with his cronies were too much for The Architect and was left lying in the ring after a Dirty Deeds. This is probably the hottest angle on Raw and we’re sure to see a great match on December 16, and I’m predicting a new Intercontinental champion.
Balor’s helping hand
Balor Club founder Finn Balor helped out some of his friends to get one over Baron Corbin’s close pals. Balor first helped Dolph Ziggler defeat the Scottish Terminator Drew McIntyre, he then threw Lio Rush in the line of fire of Elias’ guitar and then beat Jinder Mahal with a Coup de gras. His night didn’t end well however as he was brutally attacked backstage by McIntyre during a backstage interview. Balor seems to be getting a bot of a babyface push towards the top of the card, and could maybe use that momentum to beat McIntyre at TLC.
Banks and Bayley get revenge
Sasha Banks and Bayley were once again involved in a Q & A session led by Alexa Bliss, and for the second week running the trio of Dana Brooke, Mickie James and Alicia Fox attempted to attack Banks and Bayley, but this week they were stopped by Bliss, who instead made a tag team match between The Hug n’ Boss connection and Fox and James, which Banks and Bayley eventually won. In the Q & A, Banks and Bayley made it clear that they want to become the first ever WWE women’s tag team champions in 2019, and if they are introduced, I don’t see better candidates for the first winners.
