Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at WrestleMania. Will it be the RAW Womens Champion Alexa Bliss or will Nia Jax become the new champion?

The build for this match has been an interesting one. I think that Nia Jax is playing the role of the babyface very well. The emotionally vulnerable monster who can destroy anyone in the ring. She seems to be the Braun Strowman of the women’s division. This match could get overlooked but I’m going to make a prediction that will get people talking about his match. Alexa Bliss retains her title by screwing Jax of the title with the help of Mickie James, and enraged Jax then destroys both of them and leaves them laying in the ring, then Carmella’s music hits, she runs down to the ring and successfully cashes in on Bliss to become the new Raw women’s Champion. If she doesn’t cash in at Mania, then I think she will cash in on the Raw after Mania.

I’ll be honest I don’t like what they have done to Nia Jax going into this match. Nia has been such a strong role model since debuting on the main roster to love your body as you are and be confident in your own skin which considering how more people in this world are Nia Jax’s than they are Alexa Bliss’ this is great to see from someone in such a huge, in the spotlight company. Now fast forward a couple weeks and she is now being shown as someone who has cracked to a “mean girl” and wants to beat her ass! Not really what she was all about when she was tweeting about excepting who you are!
Now just because I haven’t enjoyed the build doesn’t mean am not looking forward to the match as I do think this will be a good one! I love Alexa Bliss as champion she is brilliant and it’s even better that she was the first RAW and Smackdown champion as I was convinced that would have been another first given to Charlotte but I can’t see her walking out the champ and really think it should be Nia! She’s been the muscle for far too long and deserves to be in the spotlight on her own!

I’ve not been a fan of this feud at all, the whole fat shaming storyline, just doesn’t fit in a 2018 WWE world, WWE goes on about a Women’s revolution and empowerment, but then you have a wrestler bully another wrestler over their weight, and to be honest this feels like a pre-show worthy match, however it isn’t. As for my prediction, I think Alexa should retain, by DQ, after Nia beats her to a pulp, this could then possibly lead to Carmella cashing in, which would actually make me interested in this match.

Post-match – Carmella cashes in successfully to become new Raw Women’s Champion

This has been a really slow burning rivalry for months now (and everyone knows how much I love a slow burn) The fact that Alexa and Nia and seemingly best friends outside of WWE means this will be a great match. I would expect they have been working really close with each other to make this great. There is no doubt all eyes are going to be on Charlotte and Asuka so this one could slip through the net and be standout amazing.
As for the match, I think this is Nia’s time to shine, Bliss has been a legitimately great champion, but it’s time for Jax to be given the opportunity to see what a big strong powerful women’s champion looks like.
