Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at WrestleMania. Will it be the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte or will Asuka become the new champion?

One of the many dream matches on this year’s Wrestlemania card, this match could be one that steals the show. Charlotte Flair, in my opinion, is the best female wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots in WWE, and Asuka is also a great wrestler and the best-booked female superstar in history. Put them both together and you have all the ingredients for an instant classic.
The build for this match hasn’t been all that great as WWE has been keeping Asuka on Raw even though she’s competing at Mania for the Smackdown women’s title. Despite the lack of build to this match, the audience will still be heavily invested as they know what both of these women can do in the ring. In terms of the result, as much as I love Charlotte, I don’t see her breaking Asuka’s undefeated streak so I believe we will see a new Smackdown women’s Champion in Asuka.

This ought to be one of the best matches on the Wrestlemania card, and it could be the best women’s match ever. The queen Charlotte Flair, in my opinion, the best female wrestler ever vs the undefeated Asuka, WWE have strapped the rocket to Asuka ever since her debut in NXT in 2015 and realistically I can’t see her losing this Sunday. Hopefully, they get a 15-20 minute match and put on a classic. I think Asuka will win, but don’t be shocked if the F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S Carmella tries to cash in her Money In The Bank contract. However, I’m 99.9% certain Asuka wins and becomes the Smackdown Live Women’s Champion.

This has the potential to be one of the best matches on this year’s Wrestlemania card. The trouble with this match is it’s almost a given that Asuka is going to win the Championship. The only saving grace is that if anyone could beat her streak, it would be Charlotte. There is also the question of if Asuka wins will she be traded to Smackdown?
Aside from all that, as I have said this match could be fantastic. I wouldn’t be shocked if they carried on this feud for not only months but for years to come. This match should be the best Women’s match on the card.

This is a match that I really am not looking forward to as it’s pretty much a given that Asuka is going to walk out the champion and if am being honest the thought of this bores the life out of me! When she was the NXT champion it became the same each week and each championship match as it was given what was going to happen.
Now don’t get me wrong the one time Asuka is beaten is going to be the biggest shock but will that ever happen! For me there is only one outcome that would not annoy me, Carmella cashing in and then either Charlotte or Carmella winning. That way Asuka is still unbeaten and either Charlotte can retain or we can get a decent champion who when going into a championship match we actually don’t know who is going to win!
