Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at Wrestlemania. This time its ‘It’ couple vs shhh! ‘It’ couple. With John Cena and Nikki Bella vs The Miz and Maryse.

I don’t think many people were particularly excited when rumours of this match began circulating, but you have to give credit where it is due, this feud has been must-see in recent weeks. Cena and Miz have been fantastic in building this feud and I have to give special mention to Maryse too, who has been doing the best work of her entire career recently. As for the match, i’s not going to be an in-ring classic, but after the hilarious vignettes and brutally honest promos that have made this feud, I am certainly interested to see how it unfolds on April 2nd. Although Cena and Nikki are likely to get the win at Mania, Miz and Maryse have certainly impressed during this angle and will benefit from it regardless.

The Miz and Maryse have completely carried this feud in my opinion, whether it be a great promo on talking smack a few weeks ago or the hilarious Total Bella’s Bull**** segment, Miz and Maryse have shone, and that’s why I hope they win at WrestleMania. It’s been widely rumoured that Nikki Bella could be potentially retiring or working a lighter schedule after WrestleMania and Cena is off filming a movie. Therefore, in my opinion it makes no sense for Cena and Nikki to win, so I think Maryse gets a fluky pin on Nikki, to keep Cena look strong, After the match I can see Cena proposing to Nikki, to give us a “WrestleMania moment”

The writing seems to be one the wall for a match that has been planned for months. It’s the Cinderella story for Nikki Bella regarding her come back from a career-threatening neck injury. Nikki had all of these feuds questioning her of the morals of her relationship with John Cena. She’s proven so far that she’s perfectly capable of handling these girls on her own in order to prove that she deserves her spot. Now she gets the opportunity to finally team with her man as they go up against The Miz and Maryse, who bloody damn well deserve to be in a big match for WrestleMania considering how entertaining they’ve been in the last year. I don’t know if it’ll be a particular good match but it’s a good-feel moment for all. Cena and Miz may not get a chance to do this again and if the rumours of Nikki retiring soon are true… going out by teaming with the love of her life is a great way to do it. She and Cena ride off into the sunset, which I fully except to happen and you move on… with possibly an engagement at the end!

One of the biggest builds on Smackdown Live, which I am not a fan of, despite the build being average to OK, does not help that I’m not a fan of any of these talents except for Maryse!
But I hope they do put on a decent match.

Although this match has had a mixed reception, John Cena deserves a bigger match, especially after the rumours of him taking on The Undertaker. I for one am quite excited for this match. Although the bout won’t be amazing, the build-up has been fantastic. The intense promos between Cena and Miz, the hilarious Total B*** S*** segments on Smackdown Live and even Nikki Bella looking strong beating up Tyler Breeze.
The creative team obviously have been taking their time in trying to take what they have in this feud and make it fee important. And boy have they done their job! Furthermore, if rumours are to be believed, WWE may pull another WrestleMania VII. Having John Cena Propose to Nikki Bella in the ring, much like Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth all those years ago.

When I first heard this was a possible match, I’ll be honest I was not best pleased! Am not the biggest fan of mixed tag matches as it is, unless they involved Chyna then it was just a normal tag match! However am actually really looking forward to seeing this! Now that may be slightly because am a HUGE Cena and Nikki fan but it’s more because the build up to this match has been fantastic! We’ve seen some great promos from both sides, an insight into the real Total Bellas and some great talking Smack! Not just that but am also getting really excited to seeing Maryse in the ring! I love that we haven’t seen this yet in this build up and that they are keeping it for the grandest stage of all! The way this is being built does make me think that we aren’t going to see either of Nikki or Cena on screen for a while which am not happy about, but I do think we are going to see all of these guys put on a fantastic match! As for who is going to win, obviously I want it to be Nena but I do think it’s going to be The Miz and Maryse. Them winning will just make them more smug and annoying but least before they get there I’ll see them get beat up!

Although I would of preferred Cena to be facing The Undertaker and Nikki winning the Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania, I think it will be a pretty good watch. There is one thing that is undeniable throughout this feud, and that’s there is no doubt both Cena and The Miz can build a great rivalry. They are both easily up there with the best talkers in WWE right now. I really think this match will be a good one, not only for Maryse’s in ring return but the four superstars involved have some great chemistry. As for a winner, I don’t think its a huge stretch of the imagination to see The Miz being/challenging for the WWE Championship by the time SummerSlam rolls around, and I think beating Cena at Wrestlemania would really catapult him back into the main event and help him build some great momentum. I am a huge Cena fan but even I can see that he doesn’t need to win this match, especially with him taking time away from the ring.
