@maruwe22 (What Would Matt Do?)
Goldberg vs Lesnar. I get flash backs to the WrestleMania match between the two which could have been amazing if it weren’t for the fact both were finishing up their runs in WWE and the match turned more into long winded match before both getting stunned by Stone Cold. The build up to that match was great but they just couldn’t deliver and I fear that will happen again. Don’t get me wrong, I got chills when I heard Goldberg’s theme once again and I’m super excited that his kids will see him do what he did best, but this match should have taken place years ago. There’s no reason for Goldberg to win this and no reason for Lesnar to lose this match. Just as their previous battle I felt excited at the start of the build to the match but now feeling loot warm. What will happen? Who knows, but Lesnar will go marching on.

@mrnebarry (Old Skool View)
Being and old skooler I loved Goldberg’s WCW run and was hyped when he debuted for WWE, however the edgier product back then didn’t go well for Goldberg and he was obviously unhappy. Then we had his final match, that dud at WMXX between this exact pairing. There is no way on earth that this match should be anything near as bad as the original match they had, however with Goldberg being out of a ring for 12 years and Lesnar being Lesnar, this match won’t be a classic, but personally I would not have booked this match, it’s done for pure fantasy warfare.

@TheWWEVoiceless (The Voice of Reason)
Fantasy warfare just got real. How fed up are we of hearing the slogan for the rematch between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at this Sunday’s Survivor Series? Personally, I am not expecting a great match. Lesnar does look a little out of shape and his matches of late have been tedious. Goldberg has not been in the ring for so long and the two times he has got physical inside the squared circle have been rusty at best.

I expect Goldberg to start the match strong, dominating early on to the surprise of many fans, with Lesnar to retort with 12-15 suplexes. The final finish is pretty clear, Lesnar is walking away with the win. Goldberg will hit a Jackhammer and a Spear to a close 2 count. Lesnar will hit a couple of F5’s to win the match which is the right decision. There is no need for Goldberg to be the one who beats Brock Lesnar. That spot should be saved for a young superstar with years ahead of him in his career.

@TomRobinson5199 (Armbar Analysis)
As far as this match is considered, Brock has to go over. With Goldberg going into this match with the mindset that this would be his last, it makes no sense for him to be the one to take down Brock Lesnar clean before he rides off into the sunset. Brock adding Goldberg to his list of victims will benefit Brock a lot more, considering that it is a big win over a wrestling legend that he can benefit from as he moves forward

I’m not sure if this is the match that any of us wanted to see again but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to seeing him back in a WWE ring once again. I never watched WCW so my only knowledge of Goldberg stems from his 2003/4 run, he captivated me then and he still does now. My issue with this match is that consider to be safe to assume, a Brock Lesnar win. I’m now bored of the way they’re booking Lesnar. At one point in time (not too long ago) Suplex City was amazing and Lesnar was the attraction that had everyone wondering when he would next show up. Now, he’s decimating everyone who’s put in front of him and it’s getting underwhelming. Keep him away for a while, make him a Rumble surprise, just do something with him that I won’t expect. Have him lose.

I was very skeptical about this match especially following their train wreck of a match at Wrestlemania 20, however the promos especially from Goldberg, have brought more intensity and energy into the feud. I do have a few concerns about the booking of the match though, I do think that Lesnar will get cheered which is already a part of the planned foiled. They’re booking Brock as the heel and Goldberg as a face, even though Survivor Series is from Canada where Brock Lesnar is living and Goldberg injured and ended Canada’s favourite son Bret Hart’s career.

I think that this match for it not to be a total flop needs to be a physical bout, fighting on the outside of the ring and maybe into the crowd, with any luck the match will be made into a no DQ match during the PPV for added interest. The concern over the well being of Goldberg is an added factor, if he can tweak his shoulder from just punching a security guard is a big problem, how would his body fare from a trip to suplex city. As I’ve mentioned before in previous articles, I’m not Brock’s biggest fan and it sickens me that he’ll likely headline another big PPV. With my heart I’ll be hoping Goldberg wins, but I always bet with my head and predict that Brock Lesnar will win as WWE wins when their top guy, Vince’s golden goose wins.

However don’t be surprised if we see Heyman pick up a microphone following the match and simply say who’s next and down comes Samoa Joe to have a stare down with The Beast and this could set-up a bout between Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe at Wrestlemania 33.

@Ciaran_HEEL (WriteLegendWrite)
It started as a marketing campaign for WWE 2K17, now it’s a reality, this Sunday two icons of the ring meet for quite possibly the last time ever. For those who haven’t seen Goldberg vs Lesnar from 2004 there is bound to be excitement, however those of us that witnessed it first time round are dubious over how WWE plan to proceed. Although this match came from nothing other than the release of a video game WWE have done very good with the segments between the two, plus the Heyman promos have done much to help the feud. The most alarming fact from all of this is that in 2016 there was no other viable opponent for Lesnar to face, it’s another example of WWE being unable to build someone to the level to face Brock. At a time when Lesnar is at his most useful WWE have no young star ready to get the rub from him, right now it seems that Lesnar’s next high profile feud will be with Shane McMahon. However if we look at this for what it’s worth, an entertaining wrestling match then that’s what we will get, and hopefully if booked correct it could tear the house down in Canada.

@TownNation (The Fox Files)
So, to begin with, I’ll say that the build up to the match has been a interesting one. But there’s one thing I never thought would come true and that’s seeing Goldberg been inside a WWE Ring again, but when he was announced as the WWE 2K17 pre-order bonus, then I thought there was a slight opportunity it could happen, and I’m so thankful he has. There’s just 1 problem:

He’s versing the CONQUERER of the biggest streak, he is versing a Beast like no other under the name of BROCK… LESNAR. It’s gonna be a fight to remember, but my prediction this match is for Brock Lesnar to win the match(which would make it 1-1 as Goldberg got the victory at WM XX)

The downside is, I do NOT think they would do a deciding match, even though I would like to see it at WrestleMania 33. I think this is the one & only EVER match in WWE, and he’ll get his send off during the loss he takes against Lesnar.

@kieranthekiz (UKayfabe)
For me, Goldberg vs Lesnar doesn’t doesn’t benefit either. Goldberg won the first match all those years ago, so another victory wouldn’t prove anything but to make Lesnar beatable, which would mean an old timer could come back and defeat the man that the current roster can’t.
On the other hand, a Lesnar win would make it 1-1 and not really prove much. So what exactly would be the point of either outcome? For that reason, I can’t get as involved or invested in this match as I should be, because on paper it’s a great matchup.
My overall thought is that we won’t see a clean finish, but I hope it’s not a repeat of Lesnar/Orton from Summerslam, and Goldberg keeps his reputation intact.

@AdamOB_UTS (Under The Spotlight)
Trying to pick a winner here, it’s clear to see why this match has been described as a booker’s nightmare. Why bring back Goldberg just to reverse the decision from a match that took place almost thirteen years ago? At the same time, why waste the monumental Brock Lesnar rub on a part-timer whose future within WWE is completely up in the air right now?
“The Beast Incarnate” has built himself up as the single most destructive athlete under the WWE umbrella since about 2014, at the expense of huge names like The Undertaker, John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, and it’s the kind of run that could fulfil any up-and-coming athlete’s entire career if they were to put a stop to it.
Either way, since it’s so hard to actually call based on future potential, I’m going to have to go based on logic. As stated, Lesnar is the most dominant man in the business today, and I don’t think a guy who hasn’t laced up his boots in well over a decade is going to be able to change that. Ring rust is going to heavily impact Goldberg’s performance, and whether or not it’s a decent affair, Lesnar is going to need the win to maintain his credibility for the next generation to capitalise on.
