SLTD Predicts – Universal Championship Fatal Four Way Match

Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at Summer Slam in the Universal Championship Fatal Four Way Match. Will the Beast retain, or will the Monster, Destroyer or the Big Dog walk out with the gold

We all give our thoughts below, let us know in the comments below who you think will win

Sunday, the Universal Title is put on the line for the first time ever in a Fatal Four Way match at Summerslam. Brock Lesnar returns to PPV to defend his title against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman. These four beasts of the squared circle have been at each other’s throats for some time now. With the added caviot of Lesnar saying he will leave the WWE if he loses the title, whats going to happen is anyone’s guess. In my opinion, Lesnar is going to lose the title (possibly to make room for another UFC run before returning). In this situation, who benefits more with a title run? I would have to say Strowman. Braun has been on one hell of a run of late and I can see him easily being elevated to Champion status

Beast, Monster, Destroyer and Clifford the Big Red Dog clash this Sunday and there’s only one word to describe it. DAMN.

All of these men (including Roman) are in incredible form, and over the past few weeks have really upped the ante. Usually multi man matches are a bit ‘naff’ and take something away from the prestige of a championship match. Not this time. Vinny boy has booked this one to perfection. Everyone, and I mean everyone in the match has a good chance of winning. Personally I feel they’re going to give the title to Sexy, I mean Samoa Joe. Not only is he an amazing heel, but Lesnar himself was impressed with the former TNA, I mean NXT champion… and we all know the kind of clout Lesnar holds over the WWE.

This Sunday night, 4 of Raw’s biggest names clash in the main event of Summerslam. If Brock Lesnar loses he and his advocate Paul Heyman will leave WWE. Now I think this will happen for many reasons, there are rumours that Lesnar is going back to UFC, soon it’d make sense for him to drop the title. Who I think will conquer the Beast… the Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe, in a shocking finish, Joe will lock in Coquina Clutch on Brock and Heyman will throw in the towel. Brock questions Heyman’s decision before it is revealed that Samoa Joe is a Paul Heyman guy and Joe jumps Brock and celebrates with Heyman.

So ever since this match was announced, well, in fact ever since it was rumoured I’ve assumed we finally get to see Brock Lesnar lose the title and we have a proper Universal Champion on Raw each week. That is, however until Paul Heyman made the statement that both himself and Brock would quit WWE if he were to lose. Now unfortunately, it’s that damn Lesnar contract again ruining things, as we all know he’s booked for dates in October and right up until Wrestlemania, so he won’t be quitting WWE.
I figured this would be a good opportunity to give Samoa Joe the title, because if not now, when he’s been this good and he’s this hot, when would be a better time?
Hopefully I’m wrong, but I fully expect Brock Lesnar to leave SummerSlam just as he enters it, as Universal Champion.

Since this match was announced I’ll be honest I haven’t been looking forward to it or excited for it in the slightest. Brock Lesnar being the champion, for me, doesn’t work. He isn’t around enough to be a legitimate champion, he doesn’t have any matches, unless they are title defences and he can’t build any type of hype or rivalry with anyone so these matches just become a fight with nothing to really win from it, nothing is being settled! Next I think we have seen Strowman vs Reigns too many times and it’s just getting to be a little samey, which again doesn’t create any good hype for this when you have seen the match a couple of times! The only person, to me, that has created a good hype around this match has been Samoa Joe! He’s made it clear from day one what he wanted and that he was not going to stop until he got it and that is exactly what he’s done. He’s gone through the people he needed to and is where he wants to be.
Add to this the “threat” of Lesnar and Haymen leaving if Lesnar is beaten (just like a baby throwing toys out of the pram if you ask me!) it does scream that Lesnar will be dropping the championship at SummerSlam after all the rumours of him returning to UFC. For me I’m hoping Joe wins! He’s the only one that actually deserves it and after seeing him as the NXT champion he’ll make a damn good one!

@Tybo_SLTD (Tybo Talks)
This could easily be the best match of the night or the worst match of the night. I’m hoping its not the latter. I am interested to see what they do to make everyone look strong, some one needs to take the pin but the only person I can see it not hurting is Reigns. The only thing I am still not sure about is who I want to walk out the champ. Lesnar needs the titles for a reason to pop up and feud every few months, the part time World Champ is getting a little long in the tooth for me. If I’m completely honest, Reigns is the man right now so I would love for him to pin Lesnar for it. Then there is no dispute that he deserves the title. There is also a huge part of me that absolutely loves the internet fans losing their minds over ‘The Big Dog’ being Universal Champion.

So there are Team SLTD’s thoughts on the Universal Championship Fatal Four Way Match, but what are yours?
