There is no denying this years ‘Money in the Bank’ match will be completely different from any other Money in the Bank match in history. So, some of Team SLTD have gotten together to give their thoughts on what they think about this years concept, idea, and general thoughts on the whole thing.
Tybo Talks (@TyboTalks): When I first see that WWE was having the superstars ‘climb the corporate ladder’ I thought it was a joke, or a fan-made poster given that WWE has released so much talent the week before. Over the last few weeks, I was coming round to the idea of a cinematic ‘Money in the Bank’ match. That was until they announced that both Men’s and Women’s matches will be happening at the same time.
Aside from everything else this just feels like there will be so much going on it will be hard to keep up, or it will go on for so long everything will be lost in the mix. I’m really hoping enough time is given to the men and women in the match for them all to have a moment to shine. That being said if R-Trush doesn’t pop up and try and get the women’s br
Let’s be honest, this is a clever workaround to not have a lot of people in the Performance Centre for the PPV, and I did enjoy the cinematic aspect of Mania so I’m willing to go into this one with an open mind.
As for a winner? My pick is the same as every year, someone who actually needed the push. That means no former World Champions and no one who is going nowhere.
The Wrestling Brains (callumowen98): Money In The Bank this year, is certainly going to be like no other, due to the Coronavirus, the PPV has been taped, and both men’s and women’s Money In The Bank ladder matches will take place at Titan Towers, where the briefcases will be positioned on the top of the roof.
I’m quite excited to see how the matches will work as they’re both taking place at the same time, could Otis bring down the Women’s briefcase for Mandy? Obviously, there’s a great debate whether WWE should even be putting their superstars at risk considering the current pandemic. Personally, whilst I feel that wrestling is escapism for a lot of people including myself, the health and safety of everyone involved is far more important, and a few weeks break wouldn’t hurt anyone.

The O’B Report (@KWCALAN): This year’s Money in the Bank matches are like no other. The usually exciting match has gone one step further. Like many others, the Money in the Bank ladder match is one of my favourite matches throughout the year and this year will be no different.
With the announcement that both Money in the Bank matches will be happening simultaneously, this adds a new layer to my excitement. Personally, I think the inclusion to have to match held in Titan Towers is a great idea. It gives the already chaotic match a new, creative feel and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
The Wrestling Brains (@xterblack): So, what are my views on this year’s Money In The Bank? Well, the idea of a cinematic ladder match definitely intrigues me. The idea that, instead of a traditional ladder match, the participants will be working their way up through WWE HQ in an attempt to retrieve the briefcase(s) grabs my attention and baffles me at the same time while the decision to run both the Men’s and Women’s matches simultaneously genuinely leaves me speechless.
How is it going to work? Will one of the matches end first or, and this is the idea that my brain has been running away with, will we see the creation of some Male/Female power trip as Mr and Ms Money In The Bank join forces through the mutual respect of winning and the common ground of both of them having a championship opportunity lying in wait?
If the latter happens, it wouldn’t necessarily make sense for say, Aleister Black and Nia Jax to unhook the cases at the same time. But what if AJ Styles and Shayna Baszler won at the same time? Styles is without his OC running buddies following the unfortunate dismissal of Gallows & Anderson and Baszler’s stablemates didn’t make the trip up to the main roster with her so what’s not to say that these newly found soloists gravitate towards each other in light of their successes on the night?
Am I interested in and will I watch Money In The Bank? Of course, I will. I do every year and, short of the big four, it’s always my most anticipated show. It’s going to be different, inevitably, due to the current situation and WWE’s shift in production to more cinematic matches but that is essentially the reason why it’ll be must-see. We’ve never seen Money In The Bank like this before and we may never see it in this way again so why not strap in and go for the ride? You’ve got nothing else to do!
