Whilst I was away, the main WWE story was of the tragic and untimely death of Roddy Piper, therefore I am dedicating this piece for the late great Roddy Piper, The Wrestling Brain… sorry Callum Owen, will miss you, it’s a great loss for us but a great gain for heaven.
Hello it’s me The Wrestling Brain, and I have arrived back from holiday, so on the minimum amount of 3G I had on holiday, I was reading the reports of Sting now not appearing at SummerSlam. I still feel he should and quite possibly will appear. So the main question is why should he appear and if he appears, who will he face?
Firstly, SummerSlam is now 4 hours long, so it’s the August version of WrestleMania, big names are set to appear, in the same match… Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker, the WrestleMania star power just doesn’t appear on the SummerSlam card, think about WrestleMania. Sting, Undertaker, Triple H and Brock Lesnar, all appeared in 3 main matches at WrestleMania, so if WWE want SummerSlam to be as big as WrestleMania, big names need to appear.
Secondly could this be Sting’s penultimate match if he fights at SummerSlam ,as it is highly likely that Sting could retire at WrestleMania. I mean he is 56 years old, which is old for a professional wrestler to be competing in high stake matches. However, re-watch his first WWE match against Triple H at WrestleMania, he looked in great shape for a 56 year old. Also he has been training very hard to wrestle at SummerSlam, so why waste all that time training, not to wrestle at SummerSlam.
Also if Sting doesn’t appear, he is sure to have a match at WrestleMania 32 anyway, but let’s say if he faces Undertaker he is bound to lose to The Undertaker, so in Sting’s two matches, the Icon of WCW and one of the best wrestlers ever, loses both matches in WWE. That’s why a match at SummerSlam should happen,because he could actually win a match,therefore his WWE career wouldn’t be wasted and could go down as a failure in WWE. Right then who could Sting face here;
Wyatt Family: The newly reformed Wyatt Family-ish, minus the injured Erick Rowan. Currently it looks as though it could be Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, however if Bray Wyatt adds more members, let’s say Bo Dallas,especially after his promo about family, on the last episode Raw, it would be an interesting twist if Bo Dallas joined the newly reformed Wyatt Family. So at SummerSlam it looks as though Reigns and Ambrose are outnumbered until the lights go out, and Sting appears in the ring, therefore a 3 on 3 match takes place, with Sting, Reigns and Ambrose winning and there you go, Sting’s first win in a WWE win.
