Hello one and all. We at SLTD Wrestling have got together once again, this time we are talking about who we think will walk out of WWE Fastlane the number one contender and will go on to ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ Wrestlemania to face the WWE Champion Triple H.
Our thoughts are below, but you can add yours. Who do you think win the Triple Treat Match at Fastlane?
@ALFarrand (PPV Rewind) – Coming out of the Royal Rumble it seemed like the obvious choices would be; Roman Reigns winning and facing Triple H at Wrestlemania, Bray Wyatt costing Brock Lesnar the match at Fastlane leading to their bout at Mania and Dean Ambrose would defend the Intercontinental Championship against someone at Wrestlemania.
Now, I’m convinced Roman Reigns will still win and go on to face Triple H while Brock Lesnar will go one on one with Dean Ambrose at Wrestlemania. The Wyatts will then face Big Show, Kane, Ryback and Undertaker at Mania.
@callumowen98 (Facebook Manager) – Brock Lesnar? Dean Ambrose? or Roman Reigns? Who will win and face Triple H in the main event of Wrestlemania? I will rule out the obvious in Brock Lesnar as I presume The Wyatt Family will interfere and attack Brock and carry him to the back. This will then set up Brock vs Bray at Wrestlemania and it will be down to Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. WWE’S pet project vs The Lunatic Fringe, I think the winner will be no one. Reigns will hit the spear and pin Ambrose but his shoulders are also on the mat, so as the referee counts to three neither men win and neither men lose. Then at Wrestlemania the main event will be between Triple H with Shawn Michaels, Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon in his corner vs Roman Reigns with The Rock in his corner vs Dean Ambrose with Stone Cold Steve Austin in his corner and the special guest referee will be Seth Rollins
@FazzaAtPlay (Fazza At Play) -I’m extremely curious about the inclusion of Dean Ambrose. I believed that eventually we could have had a possible Fatal 4-Way on our hands with the inclusion of Sheamus, or Kevin Owens, with the odds stacked against Reigns and making him the sole strong baby face of the group. Instead it’s going to lead to one of two things. Either Brock Lesnar and Ambrose will end up facing at Wrestlemania or Lesnar will get taken out of the match by the Wyatts at some stage, leaving it between Ambrose and Reigns. Either way it will only be Reigns going to the main event of Wrestlemania.
@TomRobinson5199 (Armbar Analysis) – I’d be very shocked if anyone but Roman Reigns won this match. Judging from the events of Royal Rumble and the fact that Paul Heyman swore revenge on the Wyatt Family a few weeks back, Brock Lesnar is likely not going to win the match as his road to WrestleMania seems set in stone. Dean Ambrose losing the Intercontinental title was probably done with the intention of making it seem that Dean may end up winning but again, I highly doubt anything will come of it. Dean might be put in a big match for WrestleMania but I don’t think it will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Dean’s purpose in this match seems to be as the guy that gets beat. They’re not going to beat Roman and they won’t beat Brock, so unfortunately it’ll have to be Dean. Roman has been the guy the WWE have wanted to put in the main event of WrestleMania and I don’t think WWE are in such a position that they need to come up with a plan B. Roman still gets his fair amount of boos but it’s not as bad as last year, and Roman is clearly in a better position than last year. I think Roman Reigns will be the number one contender for Fastlane and there’s little reason for me to think otherwise.
That was our thoughts on the the main event of WWE Fastlane, but what are yours? let us know below.
