The last few months we’ve seen a relationship forming between ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and ‘The Goddess’ Alexa Bliss. Bliss was pulled into the Fiend’s path when Braun Strowman challenged him with the Universal Title on the line. Bliss was used by the Fiend to try and push Strowman’s concentration elsewhere, enabling him to capitalise.
Strowman seemed to know this was the Fiend’s ploy, and decided to push Alexa Bliss away from him. Saying he didn’t care about her or ever did, and Bliss used Strowman to further her goals. This resulted in the Fiend making an appearance and putting Bliss in the claw. When the Fiend tried to do this again, in a further segment, Bliss grabbed the Fiend’s hand and showed him emotion.
Since then, Bliss has continued to go down the route of the Fiend and is slowly turning into something different. Bliss has had a fantastic year, from holding the women’s tag titles with Nikki Cross, to this new character development. She continues to show the haters why she is one of the pillars of the company, and why they have so much trust in her.
Her future isn’t written but continues to develop into hopefully, a beautiful outcome. Bliss continues to show herself going into trances and delivering Sister Abigail’s to Lacey Evans and Nikki Cross. I think Bliss will eventually feud with Nikki and it will eventually lead to her full transformation into her new character.
What is also fascinating was Bliss looking at Roman Reigns as they past following Bliss’ match. You could see her looking at Reigns and it could be the next step for the Fiend. How this develops is anyone’s guess, but what I’d like to see is a full transformation. Have Bliss go full Fiend and even have her get her own mask, have her own creepy music, and have her target the women’s title when she does.
WWE have struggled in the past for female character developments, and I’ve got a feeling that both Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss have heavy involvement in their stories. This is probably why it has played out so well, and the trust the company has in them is apparent. I can’t wait to see this develop, and I really hope the pay off is exceptional, as it should be.
