Hey Everyone and welcome to the latest Wrestle Chica. As you may know by now my name is Rach and I am the first lady of SLTD Wrestling! I am continuing with my week in review on WWE and here are my thoughts on what has happened this week.
RAW
I thought RAW was good this week apart from seeing the usual matches that we are stuck with each week. This week we got to see Kane in charge and I have to say he done a good job! Maybe we should keep him in charge a little longer.
The New Day at the minute seem to be everywhere and as much as it pains me to say this, as I do actually like them, I don’t really understand why they are doing what they are doing. They seem to have an issue with anyone they want and randomly turn up for anything they want. The last couple of weeks it has been the US open challenge and this week it was interrupting Ambrose and Orton. What I don’t understand is why haven’t they got any other rivalry’s with tag teams? They seemed to have had a couple of matches with the Dudley Boyz and that was it. There are other tag teams they could be having these random matches with to show that they are “strong” going into Hell in a Cell rather than matches with who they have been having them with recently.
I haven’t made it a secret that I am on Team Bella so RAW for me was good for Divas matches as we had an all-round Team Bella win! I thought Nikki was a great champion and don’t understand why she is given the abuse she is given. I am getting really frustrated with this Divas revolution though as I don’t feel it is going anywhere. NXT have taken their Divas to the next level and it seems that RAW and Smackdown are struggling to find their footing with it and are not doing as much with the Divas as they could be. I think that they need to stop everyone being in a group as it isn’t working. Sasha Banks could easily go out on her own and continue to be amazing! She could easily fill the spot left by AJ Lee, help to create fantastic matches and get a buzz going for the Divas Championship like there is for the NXT Woman’s Championship.
The Cena, Ziggler match stole the show for me. I thought they were both fantastic and this shows just what the open challenge can do. I always feel that when it’s a title match whoever is in it always put more into it and make it a much better match. This match was no exception. I thought it showed us just what these two are capable of and if the rumours are true that these two are to have a rivalry, hopefully without bringing Nikki into it, we will see some great matches from them. Also we got a proposal in the middle of it! What more could you ask for!
Again Seth and Demon Kane had a match yet am far from getting bored of seeing these two fight. Each match is bringing something different and to have a lumber jack match was a good idea for me. It was good to see everyone throwing Seth back in the ring and being petrified to even touch Kane. I thought they had a good match, as always and keep people entertained as you never know what Kane is going to do next. I love that they have gone back to the way Kane used to be and he’s reminding me a lot of how the Undertaker is which I am loving! It will be interesting to see if they do anything with the both of them being there next week.
NXT
Again I have nothing but praise for NXT, well for the majority of it! So first we got to see that Alexa Bliss is going after the NXT Woman’s Championship and to be honest with you I was shocked. I haven’t seen much of her apart from the things she was doing when Blake and Murphy were having matches with The Vaudevillians and honestly I wasn’t impressed. For Bayley to come out of the match she has just had with Sasha for this to be the potential next match is a little disappointing as I can’t see this being up there like the last two. That being said though who else is there in NXT that could be the next number 1 contender to fight Bayley? I can’t really think of anyone that could give us the matches we are use to see from Bayley.
We finally got introduced to Nia Jax and I don’t know what I was expecting but she was not it. She took me completely by surprise with everything. How she looked, her entrance and even her wrestling style. Like I said I wasn’t sure what I was expecting but as a first match it was the usual that I would expect. She dominated in the ring and showed us what she is going to be capable of in the future. Could she be the next number one contender? Am not sure but I think she does have the potential. The first thing I thought when I saw her was that I would love to see her in a match with Asuka as I think they have the potential for a great match.
They have found the number 1 contender for the NXT Championship and I was a little, only a little though, surprised that it wasn’t Samoa Joe. Everyone thought that we would see Joe turning on Finn Bálor but I think the way they done it with Joe announcing it up front with Bálor was a lot better. We see a lot of people turning on each other and this brought something different which I liked seeing. This then gave us a Battle Royal which I was glad of as it gave me the opportunity to see everyone in the ring. I think this showed us everything that a Battle Royal should have, we had people teaming up, groups attacking the biggest threats and then the all important teams turning on each other. It was great to see and I do like the fact that Apollo Crews won and would like to see him as the champion. I think that the newer talent that has started in NXT is just as good as the guys who are already there but when your getting to the point of preferring NXT over RAW you don’t want anyone to move up to the main roster as they have a fantastic show at the minute and I don’t want them to do anything that could change this.
What do you think of what has happened this week in WWE? Do you agree with what matches have stood out for me or do you think I have over looked some? Let me know in the comments below and as always thanks for reading!
