I’m back and I am going straight in with one of the most controversial matches in history because people don’t want to see it but WWE seem to love producing the match!
So here is what I would do about it.
I could say do not book the match but even though they are having a match on the February 7th edition of SmackDown Live, it seems the only logical choice in WWE’s mind, not necessarily the fan’s mind.
John Cena and Randy Orton have a long history in the ring, which can be looked at on the WWE Network if you wish!
Randy’s debut in the WWF on April the 25th in 2002 on an episode of SmackDown against “Hardcore” Bob Holly, with John Cena debuting in June of 2002 in a memorable segment/match with 2017 Hall of Fame inductee Kurt Angle!
Now that the history is out the way, let’s get to why WWE should not dare put this match together.
WrestleMania 33, booking wise is looking to be a dud as a whole, which is not their fault in areas but in others, can be an area of contention.
You already have the big attraction match in the main event with Goldberg and Brock Lesnar (hopefully for the final time), why would you need John Cena vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship as that in WWE logic, that’s a main event caliber match.
I think the title should go to a younger, with no main event experience at WrestleMania like Bray Wyatt (who is rumored to win the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view).
With Orton being a lock for Mania, it makes sense for it to be Wyatt vs Orton as it breaks the Wyatt family up and it will not be a repeat of the 2,750,245th time in John Cena vs Randy Orton!
It will lead to an intriguing story line that John Cena can not get out of Orton as it is played out so much over the last 15 years they have been in the WWE.
That’s me done, I will see you next week for more of my opinion of the Wrestling World, CIAO!
