Following on from Part 1, we continue to look at the booking for what could take place between now and the close of 2016. Last week looked at the Rumble, the Wyatt Family and Part-Time wrestlers – who knows what will appear this week?
Trim the Raw roster, somehow
The main problem, well, one of the main problems with Raw is that the roster is too large to be utilised correctly. I hoped that the Crusierweights would be heading over to SmackDown to help with the amount of talent Raw has but that didn’t happen. There could be a multitude of ways to trim it – giving some time off for wrestlers via an off-season, creating a third house show exclusive brand or even using some in a storyline with NXT. Either way, there needs some trimming to take place, and soon.
Follow up on NXT storylines/characters
In NXT we get to see a character be born and develop; fans get behind them and they get a good following. Then, they get called up and their character can be decimated. Look at Tyler Breeze, The Ascension, Bo Dallas, Apollo Crews to name a few. They could have easily been midcard stars by now and well, they are languishing in Jobberville. Hell, why not put them all in a faction and have them fight against the machine? I hate seeing good talent going to waste but its happening more and more often.
Build up to Pay Per View matches
Recently, Pay Per View matches have been thrown together, from a couple of weeks build to the match being announced to be happening on the night. How are people meant to invest into a storyline or give an emotion or response without being given the time to know characters, their reasons and motives. With the two separate rosters and shows it means they have more time to build up matches, both in time and in depth. Stop with the booking of matches on the night and let us be entertained.
